A story of my dad’s unwitting inclusion into a rather uneviable group of select individuals – the hundreds of pilots who escaped death by parachuting from their military crafts, launched via ejection – and hope – to the heavens. Their legacies renewed by the powerful, silken strands of the caterpillar that held their canopies until they safely returned to the earth – whereupon their new lives began.
